Organized by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), the AMC is a series of highly regarded competitions that challenge students to apply logical reasoning and problem-solving skills beyond the classroom. The AMC8 specifically targets students around the world up to Grade 8 and provides them with an opportunity to explore deeper mathematical concepts in a competitive environment.
AMC8
Participation in the AMC8 not only sharpens students’ mathematical abilities but also prepares them for advanced problem-solving and fosters a love for mathematics. High scorers in this competition often go on to succeed in later stages of the American Mathematics Competitions, such as the AMC10 and AMC12.
At KCIS Wuxi, we are committed to nurturing our students’ academic talents and encouraging them to challenge themselves. Our students’ success is a result of their dedication, creativity, and critical thinking—qualities we deeply value in our mathematics program.
Students who score in the top 1% and top 5% of participants are awarded a medal and a certificate of distinction, respectively. We warmly congratulate all our participating students for their remarkable achievements and for representing KCIS with excellence.
We encourage all our students to take part in future AMC contests to experience the joy, challenge, and growth that mathematics can offer!
