Welcome Back To School

Welcome Back to School

Message from Principal

I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful, enjoyable and restorative break and I wish you a very warm welcome back to KCIS as we go 'full steam ahead' into our second semester and the year of the rabbit.

It has been my priviledge to see our incredible students and staff return to school refreshed and eager to embark on the many oppotunities this busy semester will bring. Although this looks on paper like a long term, the time is going to fly by and we have lots going on! As always, we want to include our whole community in the life of the school and we look forward to welcoming friends and parents to assemblies and other planned events throughout the semester.

My warmest regards,

Mike Hindle

Chinese Cultural Day

Our return to school coincided with our Chinese Cultural Day which was Monday 6th February. Staff and students looked spectacular in their outfits.

Students participated in a variety of Chinese themed activities which enabled them to reconnect with their peers while absorbing the emotional resonance of China's ancient culture and heritage.

Flag Raising Assembly

This Tuesday afternoon, with the familiar music, we ushered in the flag-raising ceremony of the first week of the new semester. The Head Teacher Mr Mike Hindle  warmly welcame all the students and gave out the subject awards to a large number of students. Ms Megan Cooper, the Chairperson of Parent Support Group (PSG),announced the winner of 2022 Christmas Cheer Decorating Competition – Grade 1A.  The assembly happily ended by singing birthday song to all the community members who had birthday during the break and this week.

Meanwhile, teaching and learning are already happening everywhere.

New Semester, New Start.

Wish you all a splendid semester ahead.
