Summer Highlights

In this sunny and joyful holiday, students have chosen different ways to spend their time. Some are enjoying the fun of playing baseball by the beach with friends, while others are diligently practicing on the tennis court, challenging themselves with every serve. At the same time, many students have taken the opportunity to explore diverse cultures around the world, enriching their perspectives. Additionally, several students have achieved excellent results in high-level academic exams and competitions, adding even more pride and joy to their holiday experience.

1. Ifrinn  D

I was at a place where you can play tennis and badminton. That place wasreally fun. My mom took the photo. I was trying to hit the tennis balls on thetargets. You can also see that the balls come out of a machine. I had so muchfun. I went there with my sister, my mom's friend, and my friend. I like tennisbecause it is challenging and I like challenges.

2. Ceejay L

The sun in California is almost sinking into the sea, painting the sky and water a bright golden hue. Arvin and I are playing baseball on the grass by the beach—baseball is our favorite sport, and we take our baseball gloves with us everywhere we go! The sea breeze blows wildly, tossing our hair around, while the shadows of the palm trees stretch long and thin on the ground, as if secretly sketching the scene of us playing.

The most fun part is catching the ball: it whizzes through the air, and with a "snap," the glove closes around it. Wow, it feels like we’ve caught all the joy of summer right in that moment! I wish this wonderful time could just stop, so we could keep playing like this forever.

3. Jinwoo K

In this summer vacation, I went to the Jebudo in Korea and I had a lot fun in this vacation.

4. Eddy X

I’m writing to report my perfect score for IGCSE 0580, thanks a lot forall the support. Even though I had left the international department, I willstill be in our school for Grade 9 and continue to enhance myself.

5. Mary L

This summer, I wandered the streets of Auckland, New Zealand, exploring its unexpected beauties. As night fell, the streets turned into a vibrant stage, and the graffiti walls in every corner exuded an artistic vibe—all of which made me fall even more in love with this city.

6. Aleksandra S

I like singing. When l’m still lived in Russia, I was went to sing. At first, I performed at concerts in Vokal school. But, when it was announced that there would be concert at puppets theatre in June, can say that everything changed. When day concert came I was terribly worried, but I sang well☺️

7. Zoe Z

Once, I made one step further from the person I was yesterday: the day when I had no confidence, no idea, and not a lot of interest in writing. Once, I learned a lesson from this essay competition: every hard work deserves a reward, no matter how much or how little I tried. Once, I tried so hard to work on this piece of writing: I decided to try my best. And once, I received a letter which wrote: “Congratulations! You have been shortlisted in the top essay competition.”

As the holiday comes to a close, everyone returns to campus with their unique experiences. Whether it's the spirit of competition in sports or excellent achievements in academic projects, students have grown and created wonderful memories during this break. We look forward to seeing them shine in the new semester, bringing these experiences into their studies and lives!
